ABOUT

I've been a Bay Area musician since the 70's. I grew up at a time when the SF Bay area musicians were talented and plentiful! There were numerous clubs and venues to perform at, especially downtown Palo Alto, Campbell, Sunnyvale, Mt. View. Unfortunately, Disco became a thing and club owners did not want to hire bands anymore and most of the places we played closed to live music. (hah, now I'm playing disco songs....never would have predicted that one). I moved to Wisconsin for three years were I was the bassist for a small blues band, but other than that, it's all Bay Area. My main band in the 70's was called Lochran, an 8 piece band where everyone sang and wrote original songs. Awesome harmonies! After that band dissolved I played bass and sang in a 3-5 piece group called Christopher, Grey and Daniel which started as a folk group and ended up as a rock group. Took a break from music, had a family and then started up again with my brother who was a keyboardist. That eventually turned into a rock band called Colony Street who stayed together for 20 years. There were a couple of smaller groups here and there and I have done some studio work for friends laying down background vocals on their recordings. I have the gift of hearing and singing harmonies and that is where I excel. (however, after all the years of playing loud, live music, my hearing has declined). Love the opportunity to sing with groups that can produce 4 part harmonies! I am currently a percussionist/vocalist for Shakedown, a Funk/R&B/Soul/Disco band located in Los Gatos. Shakedown.band. What have i learned after all these years? That your never too old to play!
