My name is Marshall Smith, I'm currently located in the DFW area. Arlington, TX to be specific. I can travel anywhere.
I have been playing piano and guitar since I was 7, I am okay at piano, definitely not the most skilled but I can work around the keys. I am more interested and proficient at guitar. I play acoustic and mainly electric. I love to record, write, and just jam for hours. I'd love to share some of my material, or maybe just get together to jam. I'm easy going, open minded and kind. I like to focus on the work while also having a fun time. I know from experience that sometimes things just work out, and sometimes they don't when it comes to making music happen.
I'm very interested and have a love for all genres of music. I enjoy playing rythym guitar the most, and have really been studying some of my lead skills more lately. I am proficient in scales and know the fretboard quite well. I can play along to anything in key.
I am interested in learning the bass moving forward, it seems like something I might enjoy and have the upmost respect for.
I also have a few years experience with Trumpet, and beatmaking/producing/mixing with different softwares.
I'm quite well at using Ableton software, and Logic. I'd love to learn anything else that I can and also have a deep interest and love for electronic synthesis. Particularly frequency modulation.
I'm an active person in my spare time. I like to run, go to shows, and collect records and cool items.
I'm still somewhat new to the area. I have many connections in Austin, TX, and Corpus Christi. I'd love to meet and create new relationships in the DFW and possibly start or join a new project.
I love to write different chords progressions, riffs, and lead harmonies and different sequences while writing them out any chance I get. However I'm quite good at this point of just doing whatever I need to on the spot.
