After a successful 7 year run with 2 other great musicians being a 3 pc. Classic Rock Band called 'SideTraks and posting over 200 video's on You Tube under the search of 'Quigfest', it was time for a change. So?
I am now in a fantastic Duo called 3 Shades of Gray. We recently wrote and recorded a 14 song CD called HOLIDAZE! It is doing very well. We have had several LIVE interviews at prominent new england radio stations. And they have been playing songs from our CD. 98.1, The Pulse of NH and also 92.1 and 97.1 Seacoast Oldies have been playing our songs. Thank you to Both! I also have to thank JP, Kathy and the Crew, a radio station in Texas for playing our songs.
Little bit about 3 Shades of Gray. The band members are Mike Quigley; Guitar, Bass and Vocals and Skip Smith; Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals. However, our musical talent does Not stop there! On our Studio CD, between the two of us, we also play Drums, Banjo, Sitar, and a wide array of other instruments on our CD. We also incorporated various Vocal modifiers that YOU would have to figure out.
Basically, the CD consists of ALL Original songs telling, through words and music, the History of each National Holiday. We also tried to use the instrumentation of the period of each Holiday. Two Bonus Tracks we wrote and recorded include a new Birthday and Happy Anniversary song. The only complaint on Reverbnation was that WE sounded too much like the Beatles. To me? That is NOT an Insult. TY ALL
