My name is Rob Bennett and I am a part of the Alternative Rock project known as ‘ModernTribe’.
We are in the process of creating a band that flies in the face of common band logic.
Most bands are formed through sharing a common geographical location... ie. a School, a City ect.
The world though is much bigger than that, and we understand that musicians all over the world are bursting at the seams with creative ideas... not just the guys on the other side of town but also the guys on the other side of the globe.
Just by reading this very post you’d have some sense of how, through the growth of the internet, the world has become a lot smaller and the ability to meet, converse and work with people, is now no longer limited to your own physical location.
So why is any of this relevant???
Well, the ModernTribe Project is currently made up of Michael Chrisp, a Bassist from Melbourne Australia, Dom Scarpino, a Drummer from Italy and myself as Singer/Pianist, who spends part of the year living in Israel and the other part of the year also in Melbourne…
…and we are now are looking to recruit a skilled, creative and open minded Lead Guitarist between the age of 19-30 (that can also sing backing vox) to complete the line-up!
We already have a full 45 minute set worth of original songs as well as having a ton of material ready to work on and flesh out with the right guitarist...Which might lead you to ask, 'how exactly will we work together?'...With the use of Modern Technology, working via correspondence has made it complete possible to collaborate with others from afar.
INFLUENCES: Led Zeppelin, The Killers, Queen, Muse, Coldplay, U2, Jeff Buckley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Temper Trap and of course The Beatles…
We believe in our current material and concept and intend on taking it as far as it can possibly go!
