I've been playing bass since I was 15, and have played in metal, alt country, funk, and rock/blues bands at various times along the way. Currently, I'm playing more blues and rock material, but I still find myself jamming along to funk tunes when woodshedding.

Influences
Too many to list. I tend to gravitate towards rock, blues, funk and groovier r and b songs when I'm learning new stuff, so any bass players on those songs influence and inspire me.
