I am a 36-year-old pretty much lifetime musician looking to expand my community and play music with other people. I would love to join or form a band with like-minded people and musicians. Would love to play out again, as that is my favorite thing to do musically.
I was in a serious high school band and then went to college for creative writing, picked up the acoustic, and played a few sporadic shows as a singer-songwriter poet musician type. Nothing was serious to me at that time; I lived the party lifestyle for ten years - now I'm sober and interested in actually making art.
I've been playing acoustic guitar and writing my own songs since I graduated college and would like to connect with other like-minded rock, blues, folk, jazz, electronic, alternative style musicians. I am looking to grow my musicality and get more comfortable collaborating and playing/recording music with other people.
I am a pretty solid guitarist and singer-song writer. I have a good ear. Music theory is not my strong suit - I know basics - but I'm looking to grow in my theoretical knowledge, getting better at guitar, and playing the piano. Pretty much I just want to play music.
