I started playing and composing music at the age of 7. I began with piano, and then after a couple years "playing" around with that (ha) I transferred my main instrument to upright bass. I performed in orchestra, jazz band, and bluegrass bands. I played for chamber orchestras, pit orchestras, theatre and musical bands. I was awarded scholarships plenty, in middle school, and high school (Blue Lake, Shell Lake). I played for the highest level orchestra at Blue Lake, and the highest level jazz band at Shell Lake. I also played at Middle Level Honors Orchestra as the second chair bassist. Before I picked a guitar up in an attempt to create something beautiful, I attended a summer program at McNally-Smith College of Music in St. Paul, and studied audio production and engineering before the school closed in 2017. I picked up the acoustic guitar when I was 16. I began writing songs and I still write today. I'm 20 now, and my list of instruments I know how to play is expanding constantly. I have written 50+ songs, with many more on the way.
P.S. I have forgotten to mention the ukulele, and drums, and vocals.
Ukulele: picked up around the same time as the guitar, not proficient but I know how to play riptide by vance joy so there's that.
Drums: I grew up with a drum set, and would play it occasionally. I know swing rhythm, 4 on the floor and most styles of jazz.
Vocals: I have taken vocal lessons, sung in acapella groups, and have performed in theatre and musical productions (also while singing).
