ABOUT

I play the chromatic harmonica. I am very interested in playing JAZZ and I have been playing for 6 plus years. I am very committed to this instrument. - I am an older guy and retired but despite my age, or because of my age, I am seeking out every avenue to develop my skills as a musician. Upon retiring I went back to school at a local college to learn about Music Theory. It was an immersive 2 1/2 year course - very informative - and absolutely essential to my present day understanding of music; it was inspirational. - I practice between 2.5 and 4 hours a day - 5 days a week - depending on my daily domestic obligations. - I realize how important it is to play with other musicians and this has presented me with a burning need to seek out environments that would facilitate that need - practice sessions, joining a jazz combo, etc. Recently, I joined a Jazz ensemble also at this same local college, and in this brief encounter(still going on) I have benefited immensely in understanding playing and communicating with other musicians - that's where it's at. And this is where I am in my development as a musician.
