Being raised by a military family she was raised all over the bay area and other places of the world. Moving around as a child molded her into someone that became social and independent. Her parents were a great influence in the type of music she loves. Being typical Asian parents they enjoyed karaoke. She grew up with her mom listening to big names such as Patti LaBelle, Sade, Whitney, Norah jones, and Alanis. Her dad would listen to names like Hall & Oates, Journey, Air Supply, Spandau Ballet , and Shania twain. During the different changes in life she went through typical teenage phases from listening to what her parents like to boy bands, girl solo artists, punk rock, soul, r&b, and singer-songwriter. Her mom put her into piano lessons at a young age but lost focus on practicing due to her teacher passing. During her rebellious years as a typical punk rock teenager she bought herself an electic guitar, but never really applied herself. She never really found herself until she got into highschool and left what was happening at home and applied herself to social and school events. Found the love and passion of dancing and fell back into loving music. Performing lyrical/R&B pieces that were so powerful that told a story. she ended up having a better relationship with her mom by moving out at the age of 17. Learned the heart break and that life isnt always what you want it to be, But if you try hard.. no matter how old and how broken you are you can still be accomplished. She learned how to stand on her own two feet. Shes a person that never really wants to relay on people. Shes all about women empowerment and that being strong and knowing that being vulnerable is ok
