I've been playing drums for 22 years, and I'm extremely committed to music. My life revolves around being a musician and furthering my abilities as a drummer. I constantly look for new ways to expand and foster my growth, as well as other's growth, in relation to our respective talents. As a drummer, I look for ways to further musicality and try not to ever overplay a part. I view drums as a complimentary array of instruments that should be a stable foundation for and an aid to a melodic structure, never a centerpiece. I am not a principle songwriter, although I do author my own drum parts to a large degree. That being said, when a musician presents their idea to me and suggests a drum part, I intend to see their vision through to the best of my ability. In essence, when someone writes music, there are two ways it can be performed- their way and the wrong way. Their way is imperative to me. Period.
