I'm a 32 year old dude looking to play some music so I figured I'd post on here as it seems like there's a good deal of activity on this site.
I've played guitar since I was a kid and in the past few years have taken to getting more serious about learning music theory and all that and it's really made a huge improvement on my playing and my approach to music as a whole. I used to be in a band in the area, Zombie Holocaust, so I've got some experience playing gigs and a ton playing with others but it's been a long long time and I feel like it's getting lonely playing on my own.
I don't quite know what exactly it is I am looking for en regards to style. I like to play all different styles from Flamenco on my classical to rock, jazz, and even some metal, but I do prefer like earlier metal like Maiden and Dio. One thing I've been interested in pursuing is like some stoner rock kind of stuff, like a three piece playing heavy pentatonic based riffs like Sabbath meets Cream meets like Orange Goblin and Fu Manchu; on the other hand I also have some original indie/dreampop kind of songs, think like jazz chords soaked in reverb with some gain and some dancey drum beats.
I'm pretty much just looking to play some music, maybe like for a drummer who's in the area or a bass player, maybe both; even if an acoustic guitarist would like to do some bossa nova, some folky stuff or something like that I'd also be open to casually. I'll list some influences below, I am available mostly weekends, but if close enough in the evening week days also.

EQUIPMENT
Guitars: Fenders Stratocaster, Zapp Les Paul (pre lawsuit), Cordoba C7, Honer HC02 (favorite guitar I own), Yamaha FG-180; Squire Jazz Bass
Amp: Peavey Classic 30, used to have a DSL100 and 4x12 but I've downsized as I've only recently wanted to play with others. 1x12 with 30 watts is more sufficient than I'd ever have believed
