Hey guys, as the profile suggests I'd love to start making songs and maybe even an album with anybody in the genre! My strengths come in my grasp of music theory and arrangement skills, I play guitar and bass too! When it comes to putting together songs I've got no issue and (in my opinion) they come out pretty good (as in all in key, recorded in time, and with good voicing for musical movement), but as decent as they are by my own I know they could shine/pop more with the right creative influence. That and I can't sing lol.
So, I'd like to find people interested in making stuff that's in the vein of Alt Indie or maybe even bedroom Pop/Soft rock/Shoegaze. I draw a lot of inspiration from artists like Faye Webster, Slow Pulp, Cigarettes after Sex, Matt Maltese, Interpol and stuff like Cults, Mitski, Wisp and Slowdive. I'll add in song examples at the end of this so I can better clarify on the kind of sound from those bands I'm referencing in specific.
I'm really just hoping to work with people interested in the genres I've mentioned and with some understanding of theory or experience in composing/writing/arranging music. If you can write (just basics, you absolutely don't need to be Mozart lmao) and play in key and know basic scales then hit me up :) also decent response times are desired, no expectations to drop everything for this but also please don't ghost me or spend months between replies, just communicate and give me a window of how long till and I'll be happy!
