I have put together a group (Currently eight) of top notch funk/Motown type musicians (Cover songs from the sixties to now) who are primarily interested in playing for the love of music. While we all have a day job to pay our bills, we will only be playing private parties, festivals and corporate gigs rather than playing some hole-in-the-wall at 3 am on a Tuesday. Members of this band have also been members of Santana, Tony Toni Tone, even Members of Tower of Power, Santana, and the like have sat in with us on past gigs. Prospective members should have a decent repertory of the style built up prior to auditioning. We are looking for a male lead vocalist around age thirty, and would prefer that you live on the Peninsula. We do not want to audition anyone without hearing something in advance, sorry no exceptions. The person that we are looking for is someone that has fronted live bands before and can really work an audience as well as provide some leadership at rehearsals. Rehearsals will be once a week in Redwood City. It is also important that you realize this is a new (4 months) project and that we are yet to gig, however it will be soon, (we have actually turnded down some good paying gigs already) Lastly, our gigs will include you singing with the great Tony Lindsay when Tony is in town. By taking my time, I have recruited some of the nicest friendliest easy going musicians that I have ever met, we all get along wonderfully. We look forward to hearing from you and thanks!
