Stereotytans is a concept band that modernizes ancient mythology and places Greek titans and other gods into a modern context. Stereotytans is a professional musical organization that is building a regional and eventually national/international presence. Visit .stereotytans to learn more.
Stereotytans is a unique act in that we combine music, theatrical performance, costumes, and comic books. We perform at comic cons, musical festivals, nerd parties, and many other fun events and are in the process of building our very own cosplay music festival.
We are seeking talented musicians who bring both musical skills and business acumen. In other words, having abilities and talents outside of being able to play a kick-ass guitar is highly welcomed. For example, members of the band are educators, organizers, graphic designers, and chefs (because Tytans need to eat too).
What are we looking for:
- A lead guitarist and rhythm guitarist to become permanent members of the Stereotytans band and business.
- Must be available to participate in business meetings once per week (virtually in the evenings) and willing to collaborate on tasks such as social media, promotion, and other aspects of the business.
- Available to rehearse once a week in Philadelphia/New Jersey area. Reliable transportation and equipment are a MUST.
- Stage presence is very important. We're not just a band, we're an experience!
- Comfort with dressing in costume. We are a concept band that performs in character. This is a vital part of the Stereotytans’ brand.
- Be open to writing and contributing to the development of new songs and story arcs for our comic book and live show.
