ABOUT

I'm just looking for some guys and/or gals who are messing around. So many serious bands and stuff on here (lol). Nothing wrong with that of course. But if you're like me and you just want to jam for fun, and want to make some fun tunes together? Let me know. If we turn out legit stuff that sounds good in the process, then all the better, but that's not my primary goal. I just jam for the fun of it. I'm an amateur and a hobbyist, and a bit of a geek, just so that's clear.

I am open to internet collaborations, if for some reason you don't want to meet up IRL (such as, can't work it into your schedule, or if you're too far away for it to be practical, or whatever reason...). With that said, if we ever on the slim chance collaborate on something commercial, we'll need to come to a contractual agreement on how profits are divided. It's unlikely that I'd do something commercial (I'm mostly a non-profit hobbyist musician after all), but I bring it up just in case.

I'm into all sorts of music. In fact, I wish I could choose more genres in the checkboxes (choosing only 4 is too few), because If anything, my list of musical genres that I'm cool with is far larger than the genres that I'm not okay with.

So I just tried to pick my favorite genres, but to be honest, I'm okay with *almost* anything, just so long as it's got a good chord progression, and/or has a good jam to it if it only uses a few chords (i.e. a song like Blitzkrieg Bop; I'm okay with 3-chord tunes like that one).

Last note: Country and bluegrass (and derivative genres) are probably the only things I shy away from. That doesn't mean I hate all country or all bluegrass, but for the most part, I'm not interested in those genres. The few songs from those genres that I do like are definitely the exception, rather than the rule.

Influences

My influences and types of music I like are wide and varied. They include, but are not limited to:

*Primarily Dance music (disco, funk, edm, etc)

*I also do like some the occasional metulz (especially symphonic metal), but I'm not the biggest fan of "screamer"-type vocals, unless they're subdued to the point that they don't obnoxiously drown out the instrumentals. I'd rather listen to a purely instrumental tune than one with screamer vox.

Overall - I've mentioned earlier, but I'll say it again for emphasis. What matters most to me is not so much the genre but the chord progression quality/originality, and/or the groove and jammability of the song.
