I'm flattered that I've been compared to SRV in terms of style, but think I'm closer to second generation rockers like Joe Perry and Angus Young. What I strive for ranges from Robert Johnson to Keith Nelson.
EQUIPMENT
'74 tobacco sunburst Les Paul Standard I bought brand new. Played hard and set up the way I like it, not the way collectors would.
Made-from-parts tele knockoff I use mainly for open-G (Stones, Black Crowes, blues, etc...)
Made-from-parts strat knockoff sadly out of commission at the moment. Only one with a wammy.
Alverez 12 I string wtih 6 because it's my only flat top.
Blonde Blues Junior. Only amp. I'm not kidding!
JCM800, Blues DeVille, BandMaster, ConcertAmp, V4, all gone.
Where would I use them?
I've had to turn down the Blues Junior in clubs. Twice. I'm not kidding!
Nobody likes racket anymore it seems....
