I'm looking to either join or start a band. Not looking for stardom, just to play good songs out and about.
I'd like to collaborate with other musicians. Ideally I'm also seeking a guitarist/keyboardist to switch between instruments with myself so a variety of sounds can be achieved. Whether it's guitar/guitar, guitar/keys, or keys/keys. I've started vocal lessons so I can really work on my harmonies.
I'm editing and mixing old riffs until they become something.

Tom Waits, Alice in Chains, Dead Weather, Portishead, Calexico, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Santana, Them Crooked Vultures, the Doors, Tool, Frank Zappa, Grant Green, Prince, Dresdon Dolls, Bad Religion, Medeski, Martin, and Wood, and... I could go on and on, because which of those among us isn't influenced more than a few, hundred different bands/musicians?
I like; drum breaks, walk-ups and walk-downs, vocal harmonies, songs that move and transition and then come back to the main motif, silence, songs that allow itself to breathe, atonal jammy sections, dissonance coming together into resolution, the sound of the bass in those in-between moments when the rest of the band has cut out to meet up on the one in the next measure, full on fuzz, heavenly cleans, making chords using different notes on different instruments, blah blah blah and the occasional guilty pleasure pop song.
