I'm 22 and have been playing guitar since I was 7. I wish I could choose more than 4 genres, because I listen to, play and (try to) produce so much more! I love jazz, R&B, soul and Hip Hop in addition to rock psychedelia. Die hard MF DOOM fan. Thundercat and Connan Mockasin are probably my two favorite musicians at the moment. I find that a lot of people -- especially musicians -- resent that many once prominent genres are now "underground" so to speak. Personally, I love how music is becoming more and more globalized by the day; with "genre" becoming an outdated term. I've played in Hard-rock, metal, alternative, R&B, psychedelic and jazz groups. While I've never been a studio musician, I was occasionally hired to record a solo or play a few shows. The only original projects I have on or mp3 are from when I was 17! I composed most of those tracks, but my current compositions are much different and fall into the world of alternative/pychedlic/jazz? None of us knew how to produce, so at times those tracks can be rough. I just graduated from UCSC, so now I'm in L.A. to stay! More than anything I love to jam. Even if you aren't looking to start a band, just casually messing around is my favorite thing to do.

Influences
Growing up I my biggest influences were Page and Hendrix. Love Eddie Hazel (I don't feel he's appreciated enough, other than Maggot Brain ofc). Badbadnotgood and producers like J Dilla and Madlib are phenomenal. In my adolescence, I primarily listened to classic rock. Zeppelin, Floyd, Supertramp, Sabbath, King Crimson, ELP, Doors. Love Steely Dan. I could go on forever, but I don't wanna write an essay :)

EQUIPMENT
I currently own an Ibanez TSA15H Tube Screamer 15W Tube Guitar Amp Head and Cab. My pedals include: Crybaby wah, RC-1 Loop Station, RAT, Vol control to name a few (I would have more, but I've been using Logic's massive ensemble of effects to entertain myself lately.) I have a 2011 Fender Telecaster (American made), C5 Cordoba classical, LS6M Yamaha acoustic, Fender Squire P-bass, Yamaha Mox8 production synth and a 2011 Gibson (with P90's). I also have an audio interface and an audio technica to name some production equipment.
