I live in S.F. California. Been playing music since age 15. Predominantly self taught, w/extensive college training. Playing to 15,000 frenzied festival-goers & hearing my lyrics reciprocated a la "call & response" is a majestic experience! Toured for months in West Africa... performing a dozen+ gigs...either as a solo Hip Hop Artist, or w/a Traditional West African Song & Dance Group I was part of.
I front bands, & get in where I fit in. I specialize in RAP/Rhymin', also 'sing' backing vox harmonies, hooks, chorus'.
My strengths: stage presence, gettin' fans hyped & crowd participation.
NOTE: I can step aside to play Drums, Bass, Percussions & Sequencing, for live performances & studio sessions.
I dabble in guitars, bass, keys/piano, sampling/sequencer, DRUMS (kit/machine/percussions), & have some training in Music Theory, History, Appreciation (From HSU).
I've recorded several solo Albums under the stage name "(M.C.) MANIFEST", my HipHop handle. I've produced, written, arranged, composed all songs, music & lyrics for least 4 full length CD's...engineering, post production,.

I'd like to meet some musicians that are determined, hungry for success, creative, eager to learn & practice, open minded, multi talented- or possibly genius/prodigious on any single instrument. "Jamming" is great no&then, for ideas, like brainstorming...but can't be the ultimate goal. Songwriting is essential. Ambition is a must. Goal oriented groups tend to go further than free spirited, open ended jam-bands. TO MAKE A LIVING VIA RECORD SALES, MERCH & TOURING/GIGGING IS MY PRIORITY, Music is not a hobby or pipe-dream for me, never has been.
I'm a serious artist who takes his work serious & puts all other everyday duties, commitments & life tasks behind it... Girlfriends, partying, drama, 9-5 job are all SECONDARY. Ofcourse paying bills & food on table is vital, but again, these can't be the cause of continual tardiness, or being absent alltogether. Laziness or excessive drug use, alcohol consumption, rehearsals w/revolving door of "friends/fans" are all pitfalls that ultimately stifle &/or extinguish the chance at careers in the Music Industry. Moderation is KEY, & anything less results in failure. I don't waste my partners time, so I expect the same courtesy. When commmiting to a band, mutual respect will benefit everybody, as life can be hectic, personal problems will always arise. Understanding is key, and judgements should be left at the door.
If any of this rings true or is relatable, possibly we can connect & see if there is a mucical vibe. Maybe we gel, or not...never know unless we give it a go.
