ABOUT

Hey, what's up. I am new to this program and not sure if it will be fruitful, but I am open to give it a shot. I am a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist of mixed heritage (North African/Middle Eastern and White), who is trying to get back into playing music for MYSELF after dedicating 3 years of my life to becoming a music therapist. I am very much into the idea of manifesting an ethnically diverse band that uses our cultural and political views to create something that represents us. I want to be collaborative in songwriting (definitely don't want to be the only songwriter). I am interested in music that is melodic but also heavy, rhythmic, and organic. And funky too! If this sounds cool to you and you are in Philly, lets connect! I love metal, punk, hardcore, midwestern emo, ska, like, pretty much a lot of things, but I want to make something decidedly not suburban-white-guy-esque. That's not my lived experience as badly as I wanted it to be in middle school. Hard no on Fascists and Republicans.
