Influences

I'm drawn to anything groove oriented. I grew up in the 70's and loved everything from Zeppelin and Queen to Sly and Ohio Players. Since then, Cake, Rival Sons, Gary Myrick, Vintage Trouble, The Tragically Hip, Living Color, Here Come the Mummies, Chris Isaak, Chilis, Rock Candy Funk Party, Smithereens, etc. My favorite drummers are in my favorite bands. If the music doesn't speak to me, I don't care much for their technical prowess. And I hate drum solos:-)

EQUIPMENT

I play a Pearl Session Studio Classic 4-piece kit with Sabian and Paiste cymbals. I have another floor tom that I never seemed to use so in the spirit of less is more and hauling less, it stays home. I also have congas and a plethora of hand percussion including a vibraslap. (so much fun to say)
