Hailing from the city that never sleeps, the entertainment center of the universe, New York is where it all began for Alex. Having that kind of exposure in your backyard, it wasn’t long before he knew what he wanted to do!
That was to be right up-front, serenading and working those front-man skills, so right to work he went. Drawing inspiration from R&B, Soul, Funk, and Motown, (the soundtrack of his childhood, thanks to his mom), along with a healthy dose of Beatles and Stones for good measure, mixed in with his Pop's love for the Crooners /Swing, the course was set. By the time he heard Deep Purple, Aerosmith, AC/DC, experienced the Van Halen attitude, and bared witness to the James Brown swagger, it was on, and he was all over it.
Mom fueled the dream further by putting together what she could for singing lessons at 10 years old, and at 13, Opera. Rolling that into his 20 somethings, he honed those skills with every band that he could jam with, playing legendary type Venues like Lamour’s, Cat Club, Art Stocks, and the Ritz are but a few examples. Also opening for the likes of Metallica, White Lion, Twisted Sister, DLR, Kix, and Poison to name a few of the rock royalty of that day.
Using his influences of Ian Gillian, Bon Scott, and Steven Tyler amongst others, and developing his fingerprint and style, the industry started to take notice. Last recording worldwide, released on Warner Chapel/ Shark /Warner Brothers Label Daddy Dynamite Looking for trouble. Having had the good fortune of meeting, then being managed later by TBJ entertainment Toni Bon Jovi... yes that guy's brother.... the doors flung open and on the road he went. Fast forward years later, Alex fell in love, got married, and put things on ice for a while to raise a wonderful family. Forward once more, if you will, to the present, where yet again he is fronting, and growing in popularity in our Cover band kings Groovemonkey. All we can say now is stand back, cause, here we go again!
