When I started off at 14, I was more into hard rock and heavy metal because I wanted to play like Slash and Kirk Hammet. As I moved through life I began to appreciate more of the subtle art of songwriting and less of the attempt impress people visually with of a focus on the sound of music itself. This occurred when a former band member of mine introduced me to jazz chords. That led me putting the electric a side for a while a diving into more acoustic styles, including classical guitar and Travis picking. I still enjoy playing harder rock at times but I’m attempting to write original songs, that stand out amongst copy cats. I’ve written about 25 original songs myself. I bought a nice mixer recently, unfortunately, but honestly fortunately, the band that I was in broke up. I will post some recordings on here soon, as I just came across this page. Lastly, I’m totally willing to do cover songs with a group in the beginning but the ultimate goal for me is to write and record our own music. I can play lead off of any rhythm by ear. Open to any and all singers, female or male, hopefully someone that is willing to sing a wide variety.
