I prefer to consider what is best for the song rather than being flashy, but I have the tools to be flashy when appropriate. I like playing straight-ahead form songs as much as through-composed or completely out/noise soundscapes. Well versed in odd time signatures. I prefer tapping over slapping and enjoy using chords on the bass, as appropriate to the song (not looking to step on anyone's octave).
