The 80s and it's music may not be mainstream, but that doesn't mean it's not some of the greatest music to ever release. Anchor (Open to possible name changes) is a brand new band in the Fort Mill / Rock Hill area looking for several young musicians to capture that sound of the 80s that today's music just cannot.
Formed in the daydreams of being a rockstar, Anchor hopes to have the energy of bands like Dokken, Icon, etc. and to create music with like-minds. We're on the hunt for talented musicians to join Anchor in a musical journey in the surrounding areas. Tasks like writing, jamming, and performing are essentials to any genre and Anchor won't come up short of them.
Rooted in the essence of melodic metal with a hint of the glory days of hair metal, a sound that'll transport audience members and listeners back to an era of incredible guitar solos as electrifying as the amount of hair spray used before a Motley Crue concert is exactly the goal.
Personally as the guitarist, and including how much free time I currently have, being on stage every weekend within a few months of forming is the goal for me.
