ISO of some musicians serious about getting a band up and running!
I am a member of the former Weather the Storm hardcore/punk band, and over the last few years, I've been hitting the books hard and spending a whole lot of time with my guitar. Hence, I'm ready to jump back on the wagon and make some music. I'm fairly committed to getting this going, however, would only immediately be able to offer-up 1 or 2 days per week for practice. WHAT days, specifically, can vary, but typically Monday through Wednesdays work best for me. I'm very open-minded regarding the kind of band that I work with next, but I know that I'd like to attempt to make it soulful, groovy, and in-your face and aggressive. Something more "palatable " than the metal over the years, but rather, something with some real melody, groove, and a "BANG" to it. Message me to chat more.

Influences
SO, SO MANY.
I've been diving into the metal/jazz fusion stuff lately -- bands like Intervals, Periphery, Polyphia, Plini, etc.... but I'd say my main influences range anywhere from Lamb of God and Black Sabbath to The Misfits and The Damned, to The Beatles and The Kinks, to Lynrd Skynrd, Pantera, then into a twist like Hall & Oates and Talking Heads, to Oingo Boingo and Huey Lewis and the News, then back to old 1999-2000 era AFI and The Nerve Agents, and into post-hardcore like Norma Jean, Scarlet, Every Time I Die, The ALMIGHTY Dillinger Escape Plan, Bad Religion, Operation Ivy, Hatebreed, Blood For Blood, Thrice, The Bronx, and the list goes on and on...More recently, I've been really into the groovy, heavy stuff like Monuments, Within the Ruins, and others within the Djent variety....
I was raised on the 60's by my blues guitar player Dad. Fundamentally, everything roots back to that pentatonic minor scale. But to twist it with the "in-your-face" nature of the metal and punk rock scenes, the groove of the funk and dance genres, and the soulful, melodic harmonies of blues and R & B, I think we could have a lot of fun, not to mention, accommodate a lot of different sounds.
