About
Somebody has to need a good solid guitar player! I'm Interested in finding a solid working pro group with a quality presentation. I prefer blues, rootsy rock, alt-country, country, funk, or any material with groove and soul. I am proficient and comfortable in a wide variety of styles, being formally trained with a degree in music. My roots are in the blues, both American and British-style, classic rock, southern rock, and inspired performance with edge and feeling. My real preference is the blues with an electric edge, but I also love the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia, New Orleans funk, R&B, rock and country. I like working with skilled, quality musicians. I have many years of experience playing live, have pro equipment and attitude. An ongoing project is playing with some good friends in Big Box of Blues. Recently I've also been backing local singer-songwriter Courtney Reinhard/O'Sullivan, working with a country project and guesting with friends in their projects and recordings. Past recent experience with Change is Good, Vinyl Highway Band, Redline 7000, DeLane, Magic Frank Blues Band and others. Duane, Clapton, David Hidalgo, Jerry Garcia, Mark Karan, Steve Kimock, Doug Pettibone, Derek Trucks, David Gilmour, and many others: Cropper, Albert, BB, Muddy, Stevie. Did I say Jerry? All my life I've loved Jerry Garcia . . . Who isn't an influence?
Equipment List
Pro equipment for any size situation. I build amps, effects and guitars - fender, marshall and vox-inspired amps, strats, teles, gibsons. Much of it is well worn and broken in properly . . .
