We are a modern, Brass Punk street band -- think of a New Orleans jazz band that plays Balkan, Middle Eastern, and minor key big band music with heavy bass and percussion rhythms. The band is primarily brass and percussion, with a row of saxes, and often fronted by belly dancers; sort of a traveling speak-easy.
We play clubs and festivals -- sometimes as far away as Boston MA, Austin TX or Detroit MI.

There are plenty of opportunities for improv within our music.

We have about 16 musicians and a couple of dancers. Playing with us is as much about attitude -- getting what we do -- than anything else. Member's ages range between 21 and 65... if you find that important. New players start out filling in when one of our regulars is unavailable but if you are a good fit it would lead to a permanent spot on the line.
