Currently an established 3 piece progressive rock band from the DC area, Calliope's Darkside are looking for a competent and experienced drummer interested in artistic expression and creativity through his/her instrument. We want more than straight forward rock beats and a firm familiarity with various tempos and time signatures. We also want someone willing and able to express their feelings about the band, good or bad, in an environment that encourages and practices effective and efficient communication. Also must be willing to contribute in the business side of band responsibilities.

We consider this a professional endeavor and would like to make a career of performing and recording music. We have all original music that is ready to be performed, only looking to replace a drummer that left us. We also have our own practice space with all necessary equipment.

We will be holding auditions on Monday nights in Olney, MD. Direct questions to, and get audition info from calliopesdarkside. We will expect interested individuals to prepare material for the songs on the for auditions. Absolutely no drug use and alcohol is not a part of rehearsal or performance.
