I am 51 years old. i used to play bass in bands when I was in my teens and early 20's but got away from it. I started playing acoustic a couple of years ago and really enjoy it. I am working on about 100 songs and am getting them down faster and faster. I basically play chords and sing. My profile says I've been playing for 35 years but I haven't really done anything for 23 of those years because I had a long break between my 20's and late 40's. I'm looking for someone at about my skill level and age to practice with and maybe work some stuff out to eventually do an acoustic duo. I'm really looking for someone like me who used to love playing in their early years and would like to get back into it without the pressure of playing with pros at our age. A lot of guys our age who have been playing all along most likely have the mad skills to back it up. I'm not there yet but I dont think it's a lost cause just because I'm 50. I have a Fishman SA220 as well as the new Turbo Sound IP1000 all ready to go. Just bring yourself and a geeetar. :) I even have numerous acoustics for you to use if you dont want to haul yours around. Taylor CE, Breedlove Stage Acoustic, A couple of Seagulls, A nice jumbo Alvarez and a few more.
