My name is Carlos I'm from New Jersey. I've been playing Latin percussion since I was little probably 5 or 6 around that age. I play maracas, guiro, congas, bongos. timbales. The music that I played is salsa, but not the salsa from today generation. I mostly played salsa from the 1960s and 1970s (hard core) salsa dura. I also enjoy Cuban and Puerto Rican music such as bomba y plena (Puerto Rican music) and guaguanco, son, montuno, cha cha cha, guajira, charanga, comparsa (la conga) and any Cuban rhythms. I'm looking for a band to join; bongos, congas, maracas, guiro, or timbales any instruments I'll be glad to play to join. I'll be happy to join a band and not get pay. I'm fine with that as long as I'm playing with a band I'm happy and calm please feel free if you are looking for a percussion in the salsa music area I'll be happy to talk to you. I'm available to play gigs days and nights.
