email is chuck black 84 at g mail d o t c o m. 57 year old guitar player, singer & songwriter looking for a fun group of LOCAL like-minded people to play out with. Any rehearsal space based outside the Sarasota/Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch area is probably a no-go for me. I'm just east of I-75 on SR 70 and LWR Blvd. I want to have fun and play. I lean toward rock but I dig ambient music, Americana, post rock, outlaw country and blues based stuff. Open to any style if it's the right fit. I'm retired and have plenty of time for a band (and golf) but I do travel a couple months a year so that would have to be a consideration as I'm away in the summer for 6-8 weeks and 1-4 weeks in the spring and fall.

Playing in a live cover band doing some standard bar band fare and deeper cuts would be fun. Currently in a heavy-ish rock band that plays out only 2-3 times per year. I would like to play out more so I'll need a different project for that. I can quickly learn and play just about anything and have the equipment to cover any genre. I can play lead and rhythm guitar, sing, play some bass, compose, write lyrics and arrange. I would prefer a 2-guitar band as I have trouble singing and playing at the same time, so any lead vocals would generally be without my guitar during the vocals (depending on the song). I love to write, record, engineer and produce my own stuff in my home studio and I'm very comfortable running Ableton and utilizing lots of different software and plugins. I also love to create videos as you can see in my profile stuff here.

Not looking to get in a working/bar band situation. Maybe have 1-4 gigs a month. I would also love to create music for artists to use in a creative space like painters, digital artists, filmmakers, performance artists, etc. No super late nights. Non smoker, responsible, dependable, completely normal and fun dude who is comfortable playing whatever role is needed.
