I am 22yrs old and have been playing guitar for 11yrs. I consider myself to be a very good guitar player for the style of music I play, but I am no virtuoso. I am in the Sacramento/elk grove area and I am looking to start a full band w/ bassist, singer, and drummer (no other guitarists unless you share the same musical tastes), preferably 18-25. I want to bring back just good old rock & roll they way it was meant to be. No metal, pop/punk, rap/rock, emo.
I want to take rock back to its roots, but yet still be modern, with a bluesy backbeat, just a little faster and darker than the classic rock bands mentioned below.
I have pro equipment (tube amp, mics, etc.) and am willing to put in the necessary time, effort and money to start playing shows. Don’t care about your extracurricular activities as long as you’re a cool guy and can actually play (preferably at least 3yrs experience, but can make exceptions based on skill) & you share the same contempt that I do for most modern music that is being played today. I do like to drink and have a good time (so please don't contact me if you have a problem with that).
