ABOUT

I would love to play soulful guitar in a band that sounds like "Lake Street Dive"... but...
I am David Paul Paige. I am a audio engineer that just got burned out doing the same old thing. So I decided to beak all the rules think for myself and, after 8 long years, acquired my own studio. Vintage English is what inspires me. The studio is a work in progress with Neve, Trident and API at the heart of the front end. Some History... I began recording back in the mid 90's at a small studio going to 2" tape without the editing benefit ProTools. Many of the compression/mic'ing techniques I learned back then still remain my core. Although I have a deep respect for the past I still live and compete in today's modern age. As an artist I live to break the rules and chalenge the status quo! My motto: "I can do anything the band wants BUT...If everyone else is doing IT... DO SOMETHING better or DIFFERENTLY. Stand out and be an individual. As an INDIVIDUAL you may be recognized for what YOU do. Commonality is not necessarily greatness!" -If the band can play live I guarantee a great recording. If not it WILL take longer!
