i, My name is Dena Dean and I live in Stover which is in the middle of Missouri. I have been playing piano since I was 5 (I'm turning 45 this month). I have been teaching piano lessons since I was 16 and have been the church pianist since that time also. I am currently the music team leader at Unity at the Lake Church in Sunrise Beach. I have been playing the piano/keyboard at this church for the last 14 years. I have also been the accompaniest for our school here in Stover. I play for the concerts (vocal groups) and for solos and ensembles at contests. I also have a regular part-time job at Staples. Moving is not an option as I have lived here in Stover for 25 years and am married with 3 kids (youngest is 12 and just recently got a 1 at contest as they allowed her to participate in the junior high contest even though shes only a 6th grade student. She performed a solo usually done by a high school student and very difficult. She nailed it. She was also featured at our spring concert as a feature soloist singing Castles on a Cloud from Les Miserables. I sing also but prefer to do the harmony parts.
