ABOUT

I have a strong musical foundation from six years of band in school playing saxophone (alto, tenor, and soprano) in the Symphonic and Jazz bands. Musically, a long break after that, until discovering Community Musical Theatre. Had the wonderful opportunity to learn from our vocal coach there (although Musical singing is often very much affected by character.) Best lesson from Musical Theater is the importance of emotion. COVID hit, and I turned to the piano, deciding to learn it like guitar players tend to, through the study of chords instead of reading. In a band now; though we never gig. About half of our setlist is Rolling Stones. The rest is an eclectic mix (Fleetwood Mac, U2, AC/DC.) I LOVE doing Highway to Hell

Influences

Rush, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, every funky 70's song with horns, Soul. Rick Springfield, Stone Temple Pilots, Thomas Dolby, Alan Parsons Project, Talking Heads. Basically any genre, but must have well developed meaningful chord progressions and polyphinc Lush. Love the newer Soul Funk/POP sound in bands like Lawrence and Couch.
