Despothera is a newly formed hard rock/metal band from Greenville, SC. We just got finished recording our first EP at Sit N Spin studios based out of downtown Greenville, SC. We plan on starting up gigs at whatever local bar will take us sometime in the very near future. Influences

Influences vary a degree for each band member obviously. Joe is very heavily influenced by Megadeth and other metal bands. Vocalist Rob tends to draw more from classic and southern rock as well as a select few modern rock bands. Woody on drums has always listened to pretty much anything but lately has been into Epic Metal. Lastly Eric on bass is the more unique one as it's almost impossible to pick any specific thing he's influenced by as he listens to anything from death metal to honest to God Mariachi lol.
