ABOUT

Deuce has been captivating audiences with their musical talent and showmanship for over six years. The heart thumps, the toes tap, and the bodies cant help but move; Deuce is known to get a crowd out of their seats and grooving with each and every performance. Emotionally tuned to the primal instincts of getting down and dancing, their original music touches chords with all living creatures.

America is a cultural and musical melting pot and Deuce keeps that pot boiling with their beautiful blend of styles. Creating a remarkable mix of Chicago soul with blues, funk, jazz, and rock, Deuces music is universal and does not bind to any specific genre.

This five-piece band includes two guitars full of intense rhythms and solos, brilliant keyboards, booming bouncy bass, and polyrhythmic drums. Guitarists/vocalists Matthew Arendt and Matthew James Kerr I have been sharing more than their names since birth. The two have been playing guitar together since they were old enough to pick up instruments. Similarly, bass master /vocalist Nate Bellon and keyboardist Mike Hallagan have known each other since kindergarten. After studying music in Washington, Peter Vary moved back to the Chicago area and joined the band three years ago. His melodic drum playing and spine tingling beats were a perfect match for Deuce. All in all, each performer brings there best to stage every time they play, which demands positive responses from the audience.

Members of the band are well versed in the language that is music. Such talent brings on an intense style of music that is unique yet familiar. Enthusiastic performances are animated with their original songs and creative covers that they choose to play. Select performances bring on a clever game of musical chairs where members switch instruments to spice things up. These fun performances leave listeners wanting more, which is why their live CD has become such a hot commodity at their concerts.
