Born in Dayton,Ohio,DaVon was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church. At a young age,he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit,and led his first solo,"Oh Lord We Praise You" by Hezekiah Walker. He was a faithful member of the Melodies of Praise,the Voices of Praise, and the Mass choir. Davon then developed a passion for the creativity of music. He attended Colonel White School for the Arts, where he assisted Professor Doug Toles as Student Director of the gospel choir. Since then,he is the proud husband of Mrs.Tenia L.Goode and they are faithful members of Cathedral Of Praise and Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor C.Randy Scott,located in Trotwood,Ohio.
DaVon is the founder of Speak Life Ministries,Adoration Ministries,K.W.Y.A. Youth and Collegiate Summit, and CEO of Novad Lemaj Music Group,as well as the host of 18:21 Speak Life online Radio Show. DaVon is exuberant in leading praise & worship,he's an anointed songwriter,teacher,and servant,and he is involved in various music conferences and workshops worldwide.
DaVon has had the opportunity to travel extensively,
meet and share the same platforms with world-renowned artists, such as; Yolanda Adams, James Bignon, Marvin Sapp, William Murphy,Pastor Marvin Winans,Prophet Brian J. Mosley, Kirk Franklin and Pastor Rance Allen.
Adoration Ministries:
In mid-winter of 1999, Divine Voices(Which is now Adoration Ministries)was birthed. This is a group of anointed, nondenominational, young people who are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They believe the power of God, through their music, can and will move across the man-made walls of denomination, race, gender, and age, touching the people right at the heart of their needs. God has allowed their music to do just that! Keeping the focus of their ministry in tact,Adoration has shared the stage with some major gospel music artists such as; Kim Burrell,Pastor Kirvy Brown, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Kiera "Ki Ki" Sheard."
