With a passion for drumming since the age of 13, I have 15 years of experience on drums, which includes numerous performances in high school and college level jazz ensembles, several years drumming for church services and functions, and several years drumming for a jazz-rock-fusion band.
I am well-versed and versatile on drum kit, African and Latin hand drums, and know my way around just well enough on a piano or keyboard to make for a solid jam session. Current personal assets include a 5-piece drum kit, djembe, and 3 keyboards. I am most comfortable performing in the genres of jazz, latin, blues, rock (esp. classic rock), alternative, fusion, beach/surf rock, and country.

Influences
As noted above, I am pretty versatile and particularly enjoy playing classic rock, blues, alternative, jazz and latin. A fully comprehensive list of influences is impossible but some of my core favorite artists and groups include AC/DC, The Allman Brothers, The Beatles, Blues Traveler, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, David Bowie, The Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, The Fray, Goo Goo Dolls, Hootie & The Blowfish, Imagine Dragons, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Lenny Kravitz, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Phil Collins/Genesis, Rolling Stones, Santana, Spin Doctors, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sting/The Police, Styx, Tom Petty, Train, U2, Vampire Weekend, The White Stripes, The Who, Yes, and ZZ Top. On the jazz side my core favorites include The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Dave Brubeck, Harry Connick Jr, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Oscar Peterson, and Vince Guaraldi. I also have a country streak and would be right at home playing selections from Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Little Texas, and Lonestar. Finally to round things out I also am well-versed in a lot of contemporary Christian music, and my favorite Christian artists include Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Jackie Francois, Jeremy Camp, Hillsong United, Matt Maher, Matt Redman, MercyMe, Newsboys, Third Day, and TobyMac.
