I’m a multi-instrumentalist who recently relocated from New York to the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and I’m really excited to meet other musicians in the area to collaborate, gig, and record with.
As a native of North Carolina, I started out playing the bluegrass and traditional music of that area, but over the years I’ve branched out into a wide variety of other genres. I’ve performed and recorded with several bands throughout the years primarily playing acoustic guitar, banjo, and upright bass as needed.
I love writing and performing music that just has a good feel to it without worrying about what genre it belongs to. The audio samples here are some of my originals that I’ve played various instruments on including guitar, banjo, upright bass, mandolin, dobro and ukulele. Recording the multiple instruments myself is something I did purely out of necessity on these tracks, but I’d always prefer the synergy of playing with other musicians. Also, since I don’t sing myself, I always love the opportunity to collaborate with great vocalists.
