About
I'm an extremely serious, and committed musician who approaches music creatively and artistically by devoting most of my time to creating original and experimental music. I'm looking for bandmates around my age to start an original progressive band with, and take things as far as we possibly can. I have been studying music theory for years and have a good understanding of it but I also love to think outside of the box, which is why I spend a lot of time writing in alternate guitar tunings. My voice is best classified as bluesy and I like to create thought provoking, profound lyrics. The style I'm going for does not require excessive distortion or fuzz--my tone can best be described as darker and ethereal, more bass than treble, clean and "spacey" (i.e., reverb/delay type effects used often for the purpose of creating a trippy, wide sound).Contact me at kathrynkonior@ g mail.com
On the recordings I provided on my page, I should note that I recorded the guitar parts and composed the melodic instrumentation. While I CAN sing, the vocals were performed by a vocalist with whom I formerly worked.
