ABOUT
I've been playing guitar for over 35 years, lead and rhythm. In the recent past, I picked up a little keyboard (very little - just enough to be dangerous) and provide solid backing vocals. I can sing lead vocals on a song or two (and do so in my current band), but guitar is my thang.

Influences
Influences in my life started with Aerosmith, Queen, and the Beatles. I quickly went completely prog/art rock with Yes, ELP, Genesis and the like for a number of years. Right now, I'm heavily influenced by Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters (they are where it's at right now). And since my current band plays this, I'm currently influenced by a lot of popular rock from the past 10-20 years.

EQUIPMENT
Primary axe is a Gibson Les Paul custom, played through an old Fender Twin Reverb. Always processed with a Vox Tonelab (tons of excellent tones in a little package) - this gives me a lot of versatility in my tone. Other guitars that I'll use on stage include an Ibanez Artcore AFS75T and a Jackson/Charvel Model 3.
I have Audix mics for my vocals and micing my amp.
