Looking to start one of two kinds of bands - either punk OR reggae. Not really interested in melding the two, unless we can do it in a way that doesn't sound like the other millions of ska punk bands out there. Plenty of on-stage experience in previous bands in clubs all over the place.
Also a formally-educated audio engineer (recording and mixing, sound for tv/film, etc.)

Influences
The Clash, The Ramones, DKM, Stiff Little Fingers, lots of Oi! and "street punk" (although I hate that goddamn term)
Toots and the Maytals, Desmond Dekker, The Aggrolites, The Slackers, just about anything Trojan Records put out. Dub, ska, skinhead kinda stuff.
EQUIPMENT
Guitars: Les Paul Custom, Les Paul Special, ES-335, SG, Telecaster, Jazz Bass.
Amplifiers: modified Bugera 1960, Marshall 1960 cabinet, couple Behringer practice amps. Couple pedals and other knick-knacks that I never use.
Full compliment of recording gear, capable of tracking a full band. I built my rig with portability in mind.
