I am an experienced musician, songwriter, and performer. I've played in numerous bands, mostly in the melodic punk or alternative rock vein. I also did a lot of musical theatre for about 10 years.
It's been a long time since I've been in a band because I've been prioritizing family, career, and theatre for a while but I'm excited to get back into it.
I take my music seriously enough to do it well but I don't I devote all my time to it and am not looking to be a rock star. I'm looking to play with other musicians who are talented and mature enough to practice on their own so that when we get together we can really make cool things happen. I want to be part of a fun group of people who love to play and want to play some shows and maybe record a bit here and there.
I write songs, sing, and play guitar and bass. My preferred role is to sing lead vocals and play rhythm guitar, but I'm open to other options, given the right situation and group of people.
The mp3s I uploaded here are from a band in way back 2001. I did all the guitars, bass, and lead vocals on the recordings. My singing has improved a lot since then, I just haven't recorded any band stuff for a long time.
Most of my experience had been in punk and alternative and I still love to play those but I'd also like to expand a little. If anyone is open to doing something like Flogging Molly or Fiddler's Green that combines rock/punk with sea shanties or pub music, I would be SUPER down.
