I’ve played by ear various instruments most of my life and in the past year self taught music theory. I can pick up most instruments and learn to play pretty quickly but not good enough to gig unless I practice it on a daily base. I do practice 4 string bass everyday for a month now and can play several bass lines. I have been also playing 6 string electric guitar for two years but I’m not as good as the bass.
I haven’t played with a band or other player’s although I was a member in a band as a teen but was a tech. Only.
