Influences

Here are some of my influences that may inspire someone to start playing music again:

1) Listening to music that resonates with them and sparks their creativity.

I was inspired by other musicians such as Chuck Mangione, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Chris Botti, Ray Charle, Louis Armstrong, Terence Blanchard, and Edwin Hampton SA high school band teacher, who have made an impact on me in the industry.

2) Through music, I enjoy expressing myself and communicating my thoughts and feelings.

A sense of accomplishment or a new challenge is what motivates me to master a new instrument or learn a new song.

3) A musician picks up their instrument for the first time after a long hiatus and experiences a mix of emotions. Additionally, I am excited about regaining proficiency, as well as anxious about my ability to do so. You need to be patient and self-compassionate during the process, recognizing that it may take time to regain your playing skills.

4) Ultimately, returning to music after a break can be a rewarding and enriching experience, allowing me to reconnect with my creativity, express myself through music, and potentially rediscover my passion that I thought I'd lost. It is possible for a musician to find their way back to the music that once brought them so much joy with patience, dedication, and a willingness to embrace the challenges and joys of the journey).
