Hi,

Our band is looking to replace the lead guitarist/singer. If you're familiar with The Civil Wars that's a good representation of our style. We formed in LA over 10 years ago and played regularly at The Troubadour, House of Blues, Hotel Cafe, Saint Rocke, and others. Since moving to OC 2 years ago we formed this new chapter, called Saint James. Our full bio is below.

We're looking for a new lead guitarist/vocalist to replace our current one. We play mostly covers now and are 4 members: 1. lead female (vox/pianist), 2. lead male (vox/guitarist) 3. cello, 4. drums, (& sometimes we have a bass player who also plays upright bass). We play 2-3 gigs/month and rehearse in San Clemente at a killer rehearsal space by the ocean. The new person must not only play lead guitar but should also have a great voice and be great with harmonies (we're sort of known for our harmonies). We play several inventive, reimagined arrangements of well-known songs, so it will require some rehearsal at first to get the song list down. We're also open to collaborating and adjusting or adding to our song list based on your style and what you bring.

We have a monthly residency at a venue in Newport, and other venues in Southern OC are on hold to bring us back once we're ready with the replacement. Please reach out if you're interested, ready, and committed! (More info below)

Bio:
Saint James is an acoustic cover band playing mostly in Southern CA. Known for bringing our improvisational sensibilities to a diverse range of covers, we enjoy surprising audiences with unique arrangements of well-known songs.

Described as Brandi Carlile meets Dave Grohl, Saint James has a heavenly gift for haunting harmonies and unique arrangements that achieve a big sound with sharp simplicity. Gwendolyn and Aubrey have each earned reputations as great live performers, and together they light up a room with their chemistry and combined talent.

Gwendolyn's sensual, soaring vocals & original works are featured in a number of movies and commercials, contributing to the catalogs of Crucial Music, Warner Chappel Music, Figure & Groove, and winning an LA Music Award. She has fronted a band performing her originals across LA for over a decade. Aubrey has been performing as a pro guitarist since the age of 14, playing with various touring acts, cover bands, and recently fronting a Foo Fighters tribute band.

Songs range from Michael Jackson to Sinatra, Prince to Britney Spears. The instrumentation blanketing their buttery vocal harmonies includes Aubrey on guitar, Gwendolyn on piano, drums and cello depending on the situation. Whether tasteful background music or fun, audience-engaging crowd pleasers, Saint James brings a unique appeal and sophistication.
