SEEKING
Band to Join, Acoustic Guitar, Keyboard, Piano.ABOUT
Looking for a keyboardist and/or an acoustic guitarist looking to accompany a singer for some open mics in lower Dutchess.
Available to practice 1 night/wk and open mic 1 night/wk. Committed; I prep hard for practice.
Singing: Choirs; open mics (duets and a capella); voice lessons; two rock band bootcamp classes/performances (Beatles; Animals/War); two short-term groups/performances (misc and Bowie); some others.
Instruments: 4 years of piano as a kid; getting back into it off and on last two years. Beginner guitarist. It's not my goal to play either; on the other hand if it's something I can pull off, I never mind pitching in. Working on accompanying myself on guitar/keys on simpler stuff.

Influences
Tori Amos, a-Ha, Indigo Girls; some Matchbox Twenty, Oasis. Like alternative; a little R & B; a country tune here or there. Like blues baselines but know nothing. Child of the 80s/90s rock/pop/alternative. Classic rock's not my thing (though I've done it and would do a few if needed).
Love a good, rockin' song that gets the crowd behind you.
In my head at the moment: Hold On, Alabama Shakes; The Scientist, Coldplay; Keep Your Hands To Yourself, Georgia Satellites; The Importance of Being Idle, Oasis.

Fishman LoudeX mini; SM58 mic/stand; Luna acoustic electric; Yamaha keyboard (but only good for practice...mediocre - 5 octaves, treble is sketchy, hookup is only RCA cable...yadda); cyclops brass tamb.
