Highwind is an idea originally conceived by me, Jimmy Puckett. It is a Final Fantasy-themed power metal musical group, with symphonic/orchestral/classical music blended into it. This band is currently in the progress of gaining members, for I am currently the only member of this band.
I would like to cover a few Final Fantasy compositions, but mainly this band will about original songs.
My idea for the lyrical themes will be my own take on the Final Fantasy universe, say....if me and my fellow bandmates were a part of it. How would an epic quest involving us go along? What are the villain's motives?
What is our motivation? What would we have to save? How will we develop over the course of our journey? This band will involve very epic storytelling of the obstacles we must overcome, the problems for us to solve, the lives to save, etc. If you are a die-hard Final Fantasy fan (or, hell, even a die-hard Square fan), this may just be the band for you to join.
My Best Description For the Sound of the Band:
- All the boss battles rolled into one

The Stage Show:
- Cosplaying at first, hopefully later on, custom Final Fantasy costumes/battle armor
- Final Fantasy scenes playing on a big screen in the background to match up with certain songs

- Theatrical bits with animatronic boss fights onstage
